The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
